Ticket FAQs

Choose your day

Is there a different programme on each day?

Artists appearing on the Main Stage, UCB Stage and the Oasis Tea Tent will be largely different each day, so there’ll be plenty of variety for those who want to attend for the whole weekend.

If I book a ticket for one day and then want to attend on a different day can I use the same ticket?

Sorry, but tickets are only valid for the day that you book them. We can’t exchange tickets either. So if in doubt, hang on a bit longer before booking your ticket.

What’s a weekend ticket?

The weekend ticket will allow you access to the event on both the 2nd and 3rd June. So you’ll get to take full advantage of all the bands and activities that are on offer without missing out on anything!

Some of my group want to come for one day and some for the weekend. Which type of ticket do I book?

It’s fine to split your group of 10+ across one day and weekend tickets and take the total number of people attending to be the size of your group. For example, if you have a group of 25 people and 15 want to come for the weekend and 10 of them want to come for one day the on the group tickets page just book 15 weekend tickets and 10 for either Saturday or Sunday. You will be charged at the group of 21-40 rate. If you have any questions please call our ticket agent Customer Service team at Essential Event Management on 01825 748881 who will be able to explain which tickets you need to book.

Some of my group want to come on Saturday and some on Sunday. Can I split my group across these two days?

Whilst it’s possible to split your group across one day and weekend tickets, you can’t split them across two individual days. For example, if you have a group of 13 people wanting to come on Saturday and a group of 25 people wanting to come on Sunday then you would need to book 13 people in the Group 11-20 on Saturday section and 25 people in the Group 21-40 on Sunday section. If you have any questions please call our ticket agent Customer Service team on 01825 748881 who will be able to explain which tickets you need to book.

We’re a family of six people. Which tickets should we book?

Family tickets are available to groups of two adults and two children. If you have more than two children in your group you can book for the extra child at the special discounted rate for ‘Additional 5-16′s’. These are only available when purchased with a family ticket.

We’re a family of three adults and one child. Can we still book a family ticket?

Unfortunately, our family tickets are for two adults and two children so you would need to book individual tickets for a group of three adults and one child.

Do I need to pay for my baby?

Due to licensing regulations we need to know how many people are on site; so we do need everyone – including babies and young children – to have their own ticket. The good news is that there’s no charge for under 5’s (in other words those who haven’t reached their fifth birthday) when you book the tickets at the same time as the rest of your group. If you book Under 5’s tickets at a later date then there will be a small admin fee on the booking.

Is anyone entitled to a free ticket?

Under 5’s (in other words those who haven’t reached their fifth birthday) don’t need to pay to attend but should still order a free ticket (see above). Also, those who are registered disabled can bring a carer free of charge. We don’t offer ‘buy x, get one free packages’ as our group tickets are already heavily discounted.

Do disabled guests come for free?

Disabled guests will need to pay for a full price ticket, however, each disabled guest can bring a carer with them free of charge.  A free carer ticket also allows free admittance to the campsite with the paying disabled guest. You will need to book the Disabled Carer ticket online and bring evidence of your carer status with you to the event. This will be documentation such as evidence of Carer’s Allowance or Disability Living Allowance.  Carer tickets will be charged at the full Gate Price for an Adult unless evidence of carer status is produced.  If you’re unsure whether the carer ticket applies to you or have a question about which documentation to bring then call our ticket agent Customer Service team at Essential Event Management on 01825 748881 and they’ll be able to answer your questions.

I’m not sure how many people will be in my party. When is the last date that I can book?

You can book tickets online up until Thursday 31st May 2012 providing there are still tickets available. We’d really recommend that you book early because we can’t guarantee at which stage tickets will sell out and you don’t want to miss out on the savings you can make with Early Bird and Saver tickets. Having said that, we can’t refund unused tickets so do be realistic about how many people are likely to be in your party so that you don’t end up paying for tickets that you don’t use. Is there a discount for groups?

All of our group tickets are heavily discounted and we’re unable to offer further discounts. There are some great savings to be made for larger groups so we’d really recommend that you get together with others in your church, groups of friends or other churches and book together. If you want to get hold of flyers or posters to help you to tell others about BigChurchDayOut then drop us an email at info@bigchurchdayout.com or download the info here.

Can I bring a large group made up of people from different churches to take advantage of the cheaper large group ticket price?

Yes, a group can be made up of any number of smaller groups/churches, but all tickets purchased in a group must be bought at the same time.

I’ve already booked some tickets for my group and now want to add more. Can I book at the same group rate?

Unfortunately, you will need to book any new tickets at the current price as we can’t add tickets to existing bookings.

Do any of my group members come for free?

Under 5’s (in other words those who haven’t reached their fifth birthday) don’t need to pay to attend. Also, those who are registered disabled can bring a carer free of charge. We don’t offer ‘buy x, get one free packages’ as our group tickets are already heavily discounted.

Choose Your Camping

Do my entire group have to camp?

No, you can just book camping spaces for those that want to attend. So if you’re coming as a larger group and only part of the group want to camp then that’s fine. Just remember that we sell camping space ‘per person’ not ‘per pitch’ so we need to know the total number of people camping on each day.

I’ve got 10 people wanting to camp – how many pitches do I book?

We sell camping ‘per person’ not ‘per pitch’ so just let us know the number of people that will be camping and for which night. You’ll then be able to use the pitches that you need when you arrive.

I want to book all three days camping but might only attend the event on one day. Can I do that?

Yes, you can book up to three days camping even if you’re only attending the event on one day. So you can use the site as a base to explore the local area.

I see that all weekend tickets receive a 50% discount off camping. How does this work?

You still need to book your camping as normal.  The system will recognise that you are booking a weekend ticket and will deduct the discount off your camping automatically. To check that this has worked you can look at the summary on the checkout page and this should show your camping with a 50% off discount beside it.

I know that I want to camp but I’m not sure which nights. Do I have to specify?

We do need to know which nights you will camp so please specify these on the order page.

Do I need to book a ticket for my under 5 to camp?

Because the campsite is outside the licensed event area you do not need a ticket for under 5’s to camp. They will however need a ticket to get in to the actual event so please remember to order one.

Check Your Price

I’m coming in a group but I’m only seeing the total cost – I need to know the individual ticket prices to be able to collect the money in

When you reach the checkout page you will see a whole list of the tickets that you’ve booked and the individual prices. You’ll also see the price inclusive and exclusive of booking fees so you can decide how you divide these up across your group.

The total price shown on the checkout page is more than the price shown on the booking page, why is that?

The total price in the checkout is inclusive of the 10% booking fee.

General

I placed an order and received an E-mail. Is this my ticket?

Unless you have placed a group order, the e-mail you have received is your E-ticket.

All orders for 1-9 tickets are delivered electronically via an E-ticket so you won’t receive physical tickets through the post. The E-ticket that you received includes a scan-able barcode which contains all of your booking information. You will need to print and bring your E-ticket with you to the event to be scanned and exchanged for wristbands to gain entry.

If you have placed a group 10+ order, you will have received an email order confirmation. For group 10+ orders, wristbands will be despatched to you in the post the week commencing 30th April by 2nd class signed-for delivery. Please allow as much time as possible for your wristbands to arrive and if they have not arrived by 29th May then contact us at  info@essentialeventmanagement.com or on 01825 748881. Please provide your full name, postcode and the order number you received in your email confirmation.

I don’t have a printer so can’t print off my E-ticket. What should I do?

As long as you can bring a copy of your barcode with you then that will be fine. So if you can receive emails on your phone then we can scan your phone. If you really can’t find a way of printing off the E-ticket then contact our ticketing Customer Service team at Essential Event Management on 01825 748881 and we can arrange to print off and post your E-ticket to you for an admin charge of £1.50.

Why do I need a wristband?

A wristband allows you access to the event and you are able to come and go from the event as you please. It also gives easy visibility for the stewards at the entrance gates to allow you access.

I will be coming with other people. Do we need to arrive together?

Bookings of 1-9 people will have one printed E-ticket for the order and you will need to all arrive together. If this is not possible then you will need to nominate one person to exchange the E-ticket for wristbands at one of the clearly marked East or West Car Park Wristband Exchange desks, and then that person will need to meet others at that gate to hand over their wristbands. (Please note once your E-ticket is scanned you will receive wristbands for every person included in the order).

For group bookings of 10+ who have received and distributed their wristbands to each person in advance, you can arrive separately at either East or West gate at any time.

Why do I have to pay a booking fee?

Using a third party ticket agent is the most cost effective way of managing the specialised and complex area of ticket sales and distribution. Essential Event Management are committed to providing you with the best possible service. If BigChurchDayOut were to manage ticketing in-house it would be more expensive for us and would put up the ticket price you pay. The booking fee covers credit card charges and admin costs incurred by Essential Event Management, BigChurchDayOut does not benefit from this booking fee.

What’s the Carbon Offsetting donation?

BigChurchDayOut is working hard to protect the environment.  It would be great if you could share a car or, even better, travel to the event by coach.  We realise, however, that this won’t work for everyone and that some guests will want to ‘do their bit’ by offsetting their journey to the event by donating to a Christian Climate Project.  For information about the project visit www.arocha.org

Why does Memralife Group appear on my E-ticket confirmation/card statement?

Essential Event Management is ticketing agent for BigChurchDayOut and Essential Event Management is part of Memralife Group. Click here for more information about Memralife Group.

I want to buy a T-Shirt but you don’t have my size/colour in stock – when will you have more stock delivered?

We currently have a limited number of T-Shirts available in the colours and sizes stated.  Further T-Shirts may be available but sizes and colours may change once current stocks have been sold. Visit the website in the future to see the range available, but as we don’t know if/when new stock may be available we’d recommend that you don’t delay booking your ticket while you wait for a T-shirt in your favourite colour!
