Children
The BigChurchDayOut is a family event, and that means everyone is welcome. Though we hope your children will have a great time jumping up and down to the incredible line-up of artists we have on offer in 2012, we’ve also worked hard over the past year to make sure there are plenty of fun activities for the younger generation to get their teeth stuck in to.
Appearing again at Wiston will be the amazing Big Ministries team that will be leading the childrens’ celebrations in the Kids Tent.
The team has an abundance of energy and intense passion to see kids meet with Jesus. With live worship, games, puppets, Bible stories, and so much more, we reckon you’ll find it hard to pull your kids away. So if you have children aged 5-11, make sure you head on over and join the party.

Alternatively, if your children want to let off some steam, why not head over to the BigChurchDayOut activities area, situated out in the park near the UCB stage, where we’ll be providing child-friendly activities and attractions, including bouncy castles/fairground rides/climbing wall/mountain bikes/face painting and much more.
Note – we will not be registering children for any of these activities and all under 14′s will need to be accompanied by adults at all times.
As promised earlier, we try our best to cater for all ages. The Soft Play Gym, situated on the lawns at the Big Church Fete, next to Wiston house, will be a marquee full of fun and games, for all children aged 0-5 years. Boasting an abundance of creative activities, in which parents can interact easily with their children; a fantastic range of soft play, a mini gym area, and much more. Next to the under 5’s area, you’ll find a baby change and feeding tent, the perfect location for the tiny members of the BigChurchDayOut.
In the Big Church Fete area near Wiston House, we have a Craft Tent, plus we hope to welcome back the team from Messy Church, who will be providing times of creativity and worship for Primary-aged children.
Portaloos will be in convenient locations all across the site, so any unexpected toilet breaks can be dealt with quickly.
If the dreaded happens, and you manage to lose your child, don’t panic!! There will be a Lost Children’s tent and hundreds of trained stewards on site to re-unite you. We’ll also be issuing everyone with wristbands on the gate-so you can write your mobile phone number on your child’s wristband as an added precaution.
Finally, the BigChurchDayOut is about being family together, so please bring along your own footballs, rounders, frisbees, etc and make some of your own fun.
