Phil Wickham
Main Stage,Saturday and Sunday
Phil has been writing songs and leading worship since he was 12 years old. He is from California and happily married to his high school sweetheart, Mallory. Even though Phil grew up in a devout Christian home, there came a point early in his life when he knew his faith needed to become his own. He no longer wanted to go to church simply because that’s what he was supposed to do. He wanted something real, that personal friendship with Jesus. That crucial realisation encouraged Phil to pick up a guitar and start writing songs about his growing faith.
As a contemporary Christian vocalist/songwriter and guitarist, Phil has released five albums; Give You My World (2003), a self-titled album (2006), Cannons (2007), Singalong (2008), and Heaven & Earth (2009). His latest album, ‘Response’, released in late 2011, has received fantastic reviews. We cannot tell you what a blessing he will be at the BigChurchDayOut 2012.
